Ph.D. thesis:
Time, Change and Construction. On some contributions to a reconstrction of the metaphysics of time.
The process of evaluation -- long, crooked, even halted several times -- terminated after all, so that the thesis could be defended on Jan. 17th. 2001. It passed, so that I can now be addressed as Dr. Hansen. I actually tried that a few times in the US, I always find myself turning around to look for a doctor behind me. The entire thesis can be read or printed off the web from here. This is not an official publication, the material is just posted here in order to make preprint copies easily available for further metaphysical discussion and construction with friends and collegues. For any further use of any of it, please contact me: there may be a revised or published version I can get you or refer you to instead. Some of my other research papers, published and unpublished, are listed (and in a few cases posted) below. I am now working on the metaphysics of information, there will be papers on that in a while. I always welcome philosophical comments, questions, speculations and criticisms. The metaphysics of time and process is very much a process itself, and it is a collective process.
